At least 2 arrests following school threat investigations

EPPING, N.H. (AP) — Police say a juvenile was arrested in relation to a threat made at a New Hampshire high school last week.

Epping Police Capt. Jason Newman said Wednesday the juvenile was charged with one count of criminal threatening.

The arrest following the incident at Epping High School is at least the second locally involving a juvenile accused of making a school threat since the Parkland, Florida, shooting last week. A Hampton teen was accused of threatening to “shoot up” the Seacoast School of Technology. Somersworth police also investigated a threat of violence allegedly made by a Somersworth High School student.

In Weare and Henniker, police closed investigations surrounding recent school threats and filed a delinquency petition with the Goffstown district court in a third.
