Al Roker To Have Knee Surgery
NEW YORK (AP) _ Al Roker will be under the weather for a little while.
The weatherman on NBC’s ``Today″ show is having his left knee replaced on Thursday and will be off the air until at least the start of July.
``I had a bad car accident 15 years ago and my upper leg drove into the lower leg, and there are pins and screws and a plate _ it’s a mess,″ Roker told USA Today.
The 46-year-old said ``Today″ show cameras will follow him afterward as he goes through physical therapy for an upcoming story on the operation.
Willard Scott will fill in for Roker, along with Janice Huff from WNBC in New York and forecasters from affiliates nationwide.
