Quanergy Names Karen C. Francis to Board of Directors

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 5, 2018--Quanergy Systems, Inc., a leading provider of LiDAR sensors and smart sensing solutions, today announced the appointment of Karen C. Francis to the company’s board of directors. Francis brings extensive experience growing and leading companies across the automotive and technology industries. As a member of Quanergy’s board of directors and independent director, she will advise the company on key business strategy and development initiatives.

She has also held senior leadership positions at Ford Motor Company as vice president and president/CEO of ConsumerConnect, Ford’s corporate venture capital group and at General Motors as the general manager of Oldsmobile where she was responsible for all sales, marketing, strategy and product development. She currently serves on a number of boards, including the connected car embedded navigation company, Telenav and AI-powered autonomous vehicle technology company, Nauto. Francis is a frequent speaker on the future of autonomy, innovation, talent development and corporate governance.
