Pacific Fleet wins Aqueduct feature

NEW YORK (AP) _ Pacific Fleet raced to a six-length victory in Sunday’s $66,840 Aqueduct Handicap.

Pacific Fleet, carrying 112 pounds and ridden by Jorge Chavez, covered 1 1-16 miles on the fast track in 1:43 2-5 to earn $39,926 for Robert Perez. It was the horse’s sixth win in 23 career starts.

More to Tell was runner-up in the eight-horse field, with Admiralty another 1 1/2 lengths back in third.

Pacific Fleet, coupled in the wagering with Native Tribe, returned $20.80, $7 and $2.80. More to Tell, part of an entry with May I Inquire, paid $3.40 and $2.30. Admiralty returned $3.60 to show.
