Poem: September Sun

September 18, 2018

The energy and excitement of summer are fading

The growing season is ending

The cooler days of September are beginning

The air less humid

The sky hazy

Our lives have turned from summer fun

And have a direction and purpose again

There seems to be a quiet peacefulness

A time to put toys away for the season

To concentrate on work, school and home

A time to watch the leaves turn

But I do have to say I bask without reason

In the glorious September sun.
