Troopers: Suspect stole woman’s wallet at Westmoreland Mall, made $4K in purchases

State police in Greensburg are looking for a man who allegedly stole a woman’s wallet from her purse Tuesday at Westmoreland Mall in Hempfield and then charged more than $4,000 worth of items using her credit cards.

Troopers said the theft occurred about 11:30 a.m. in the mall’s food court as the woman was having lunch. Trooper Steve Limani said the suspect used the victim’s credit cards at area Best Buy and Target stores.

The male suspect was reportedly wearing a white designer shirt and ball cap. The suspect’s image was captured on surveillance cameras.
