MILWAUKEE (AP) _ Brewers outfielder Marquis Grissom and manager Jim Lefebvre were ejected from Milwaukee's game with the San Francisco Giants on Friday night.

Grissom took a called third strike in the bottom of the eighth inning and briefly argued with home plate umpire Bob Davidson. When he reached the dugout, Grissom apparently threw ice from a cooler onto the field, and Davidson ejected him.

Lefebvre and Grissom ran out to argue with Davidson, and Lefebvre was quickly ejected.

Lefebvre pointed and argued vehemently with Davidson, while third-base coach Doug Mansolino, shortstop Jose Valentin and catcher Bobby Hughes had to restrain Grissom from approaching Davidson. After five minutes, Lefebvre and Grissom left the field.

Milwaukee trailed San Francisco 8-3 at the time of the ejections.
