HELSINKI, Finland (AP) _ Cammi Granato and Katie King each scored two goals as the United States outclassed Sweden 11-0 and co-favorite Canada routed Germany 13-0 Tuesday in the fifth women's world hockey championships.

Also scoring for the Americans were Angela Ruggiero, Jenny Schmidgall, Stephanie O'Sullivan, Karyn Bye, Sue Merz, Tricia Dunn and Krissy Wendell.

Four-time defending world champion Canada had nine players score goals, with Nancy Drolet, Jayna Hefford and defenseman Geraldine Heaney getting two apiece. Haley Wickenheiser, Caroline Ouellette, France St. Louis, Becky Kellar, Danielle Goyette, Natalie Rivard and Jennifer Botterill also scored. Wickenheiser also had three assists.

In other games, China beat Russia 3-2 in Group A and Finland downed Switzerland 7-0 in Group B.

The United States, the defending Olympic champion, is 2-0 in Group A with a 21-2 advantage in scoring. China and Sweden are 1-1 and Russia is 0-2. Canada and Finland top Group B at 2-0, while Switzerland and Germany are 0-2. Canada has scored 23 goals and Finland 16.

The top two teams in each group advance to the semifinals, with the championship game set for Sunday.
