Colts Suspend King, Wooten 1 Game

November 21, 1999

PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ The Indianapolis Colts suspended starting defensive end Shawn King and backup safety Tito Wooten for Sunday’s game against Philadelphia, citing an undisclosed violation of team policy.

Team spokesman Craig Kelley would not elaborate on the violation or the length of the suspension. The Colts arrived in Philadelphia Saturday, but Kelley would not say whether the violation occurred before or after that.

``All we’re saying is that they’re suspended for this game,″ Kelley said.

King has 45 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks this season. Wooten, signed as a free agent after five years with the New York Giants, has 18 tackles.
