WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. (AP) _ A couple and their two young sons were found shot to death in their home Monday, authorities said.

Officers originally speculated that Samuel Blair, a 32-year-old postal worker, had shot his wife, Barbara, 32, and their two sons, 5-year-old Christian and 1-year-old Justin, before turning the gun on himself.

But police Monday night said no final determination had been made.

''It has not been ruled a murder-suicide, it has not been ruled a homicide. Nothing has been ruled,'' said officer Michael Vereb. ''There was some type of shotgun involved, but nothing at all has been confirmed.''

Vereb said he could provide no other details.

The bodies were discovered shortly before 2 p.m., police said. They were taken to the Montgomery Hospital morgue at 5:30 p.m., where autopsies will be performed, according to hospital spokeswoman Kay House.
