Mark ‘Lamar’ Hall

Mark ‘Lamar’ Hall, age 91, passed away at his home on Wednesday January 30, 2019. He was born September 23, 1927 in Lake Shore Utah.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Monday February 4, 2019, at the Lake Shore LDS Chapel, 5916 South 3200 West, Spanish Fork, Utah. There will be a viewing from 10:30-11:45 am at the church prior to the funeral. Lamar will be buried at the Spanish Fork Cemetery following the funeral service.

Lamar worked for most of his career at Geneva Steel Company. At Geneva, Lamar was well known for his ability to fix anything. He carried this skill and experience to his neighborhood and friends. He was frequently called upon to assist in repairs and was referred to as ‘Mr. Fixit’ to those who knew him best. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he and his beloved wife Jean spent many hours in service. This included a service mission in the Utah County Area.

Lamar enjoyed the outdoors including hunting, fishing, camping and using his trailer to travel to Quartzsite and Yuma during the winter.

Lamar is survived by his wife of 66 years Norma ‘Jean’ Alvey Hall and his children, Ron (Dawnalyn) Hall, Debbie (Kevin) Stevenson, Shellie (Rulon) Hancock and Annette (Tim) Pace. He also has 29 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Kevin.

The family would like to thank Maple Creek Home Health Care, in particular Chris and Charity for all of their loving service that they provided Lamar.
