Probe finds male state senator likely used women’s bathroom
DENVER (AP) — A workplace harassment investigation found it’s “more likely than not” that a Colorado state senator used a women-only restroom at the Capitol three times during the 2017 legislative session.
The Denver Post reports the investigation of Sen. Daniel Kagan, a Democrat from Cherry Hills Village, was finished in June. But its details were not disclosed until Thursday, when Kagan’s accuser, Republican Sen. Beth Martinez Humenik of Thornton, released it to KCNC-TV.
Kagan did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but he told The Post in March, when the allegations first became public, that it was an innocent mistake he made once.
Senate Democrats released a statement to KCNC saying Kagan has apologized “for this embarrassing mistake and looks forward to putting it behind him.”
