Man sentenced to life without chance of parole in 3 killings
YERINGTON, Nev. (AP) — A northern Nevada man who pleaded guilty to murder in the killings of his ex-girlfriend and her parents has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Scott Baskette of Silver Springs was sentenced Tuesday to consecutive life terms in the October 2017 killings of 47-year-old Rebecca Lea Driver, 68-year--old Frank Leroy Evans and 66-year-old Coral Dixene Evans at the Evans’ Silver Springs home.
Lyon County District Attorney Stephen B. Rye said in a statement that Baskette lured Driver to her parents’ home after he killed them there, killing her father first when he answered the door.
Authorities previous said Driver and Baskette had been together 12 years before separating a month before the killings.
