Man shot in Bridgeport; drives himself to hospital
BRIDGEPORT - A man, who was shot after midnight Thursday drove himself to St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
Police spokesman Terron Jones said the man has non-life threatening injuries.
A report of gunshots was called in by a citizen at 12:18 a.m. The citizen also reported they heard a vehicle “taking off” in the area of Garden Street.
Minutes later, St. Vincent’s called police that the man, suffering from a gunshot would drove himself to the hospital in a private car.
Shell casings were found near Garden Street.
The Detective Bureau is investigating.
