Comedian Pete Dominick: Ask him what his wife wears to bed
Pete Dominick is bringing his stand-up show to Westport. The comedian/commentator will perform at The Treehouse Comedy Club on Saturday, April 13.
If you want to have a really good laugh, be sure to ask him what his wife wears to bed some nights — the thing he didn’t learn about until 10 years into his marriage. It’s not what you’re thinking.
Dominick is known for his animated and conversational-style of humor, covering everything from family to politics. He’s got some definite opinions on President Donald Trump’s intelligence, as well as his skills (as an entertainer).
The Syracuse native knows how to crack up a crowd. Dominick has warmed up audiences for programs on MTV, CNBC and Comedy Central, including a longtime gig with “The Colbert Report.” When the Emmy Award-winning series was in its seventh year, he left to pursue a career at CNN, where he was the host of his own weekly show.
Dominick has performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival and has been the host of comedy shows on the Sirius network’s “Raw Dog Comedy” channel. After the SiriusXM merger, he went into political commentary, starting his own talk show, “Pete’s Big Mouth.”
These days he can be heard on SiriusXM’s “Insight” channel, where he’s the host of a three-hour discussion program called “Stand Up with Pete Dominick.” The daily show (on channel 121) features some of the biggest names in politics, journalism, academia and entertainment.
