The Brooklynite will close its doors Feb. 25

February 13, 2019

The Brooklynite is closing out a six-year run inside its downtown San Antonio space on Feb. 25 with one final party.

The popular cocktail bar will feature a drink menu that will spotlight the most popular concoctions throughout the years. Steven Martín, a partner of the Boulevardier Group, which owns the bar, said drinks will be priced down to $7 to $8 each.

“We’ll probably have eight or so drinks featured that were our best-sellers,” Martin said. “There’s a lot of ground to cover from our run there.”

The Brooklynite is moving up the road into a 35-seat space behind sister-property Still Golden Social House at Broadway and Grayson Street. It is expected to open in late April or early May.

Winding down the days until the final blowout, Martín said The Brooklynite also will host a final Tiki Tuesday (Feb. 19), Oaxaca Wednesday (Feb. 20) and a 1990s hip-hop party (Feb. 23).

The Back Unturned Brewing Co. will be taking over the spot at 516 Brooklyn Ave. Brewery owner Ricardo Garcia said the building doesn’t need extensive renovations to transform from cocktail bar to brewpub, and he hopes to open sometime this summer.
