Bus service between Marion, Myrtle beach to resume Tuesday

September 25, 2018

FLORENCE, S.C. -- More than one week since Hurricane Florence caused excessive flooding in many Pee Dee areas, PDRTA announces that it will resume bus service to Myrtle Beach from Marion effective Tuesday Sept. 25.

To avert heavy rush hour traffic from lane restrictions in Conway the Marion Bus will depart earlier.

The first stop will be at the Mullins Dollar General at 6 a.m.. The bus will make stops at the Marion Piggly Wiggly at 6:10 a.m., Scotchman Convenience Store at 6:15 a.m and McGills at 6:20 a.m.

The daily bus service between Lake City and Myrtle Beach will also resume traveling though Conway on Tuesday at its regular schedule.

The Lake City bus had been detoured through Georgetown due to flood waters and road closures. With this action all PDRTA bus routes are now operational.

More information and details are available by calling PDRTA at 843-665-2227, Ext 2 during normal business hours or by visiting our website at www.pdrta.org.
