Church hosts dance, string music
HUNTINGTON — Huntington Old Time Dance and Music hosted a square dance for the public Saturday evening at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Allegheny Hellbenders, a four-piece West Virginia-based old time string band, provided music for the dancers. Linda Donahew served as caller.
Huntington Old Time Dance and Music is a group of people who organize events to share traditional Appalachian dance and music with the public. The group has organized a monthly square dance through May. The next square dance will take place from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Heritage Farm Museum and Village. The dances are free to attend. Donations ($7 for adults, $5 for students) are suggested but not required.
