GUATEMALA CITY (AP) _ Guatemala's vice president flew to Cuba on Wednesday, making him the highest-ranking official from his country to visit the communist country in 37 years.

Accompanying Luis Alberto Flores Asturias to the Cuban capital, Havana, were more than 60 Guatemalan businessmen seeking trade or investment opportunities.

The two governments were expected to sign agreements on tourism and cultural and scientific cooperation.

Guatemala restored relations with Cuba in January.
