Glenda Butler Nelson Hansen

March 20, 2019

Glenda Butler Nelson Hansen, 64, of Nephi, Utah, died peacefully in her sleep at her sister Cindy’s home in Spanish Fork, Utah, with her three sisters by her side.

Glenda was born to LaMar Butler and Myrna Gasser Butler Jackson. Glenda married Bill Nelson and together they had two children, Bobbie Jean Nelson Luckau (Vince Combs), of Nephi, and Josh (Lori) Nelson, of Texas.

Glenda later in life married her honey-baby, Harold Glen Hansen. They traveled and lived in Corpis Christy, Texas. Hal passed away ten years ago, so Glenda moved to Nephi, Utah. She lived her life working for Arbys, who were like her second family. Thanks to all the Jones for the love and care they showed our sister.

She is survived by her children, Bobbie and Josh; brothers and sisters, Janet G. (J. Robert) Johnson, Nephi, Utah, Paul Butler, Lapoint, Utah; Cindy (Steve) Losee, Spanish Fork, Utah, Wilma Allen, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a granddaughter.

The family would like to thank the Central Valley Hospital, and Utah Valley Hospital; Dr. Gillian and his staff of doctors at the University of Utah Hospital; for all the great care she received these past two years with her hip and lung problems.

Special thanks to Mike and Ann Jones, Gary and Lori Jones, and their families; her church friends of Cindy’s Canyon Ridge Ward for all of their love and support, and all who knew and loved Glenda. Thank you Mike Pay, Glenda’s best friend and buddy!

There will be a small luncheon for family on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Canyon Ridge Ward, 1850 South 2300 East Spanish Fork, Utah.
