Burlington Stores: Fiscal 2Q Earnings Snapshot
BURLINGTON, N.J. (AP) _ Burlington Stores Inc. (BURL) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter profit of $71 million.
The Burlington, New Jersey-based company said it had profit of $1.03 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.15 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 97 cents per share.
The discount retailer posted revenue of $1.5 billion in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.49 billion.
Burlington Stores expects full-year earnings in the range of $6.13 to $6.20 per share.
Burlington Stores shares have increased 35 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 96 percent in the last 12 months.
