BoysDistrict 22-6AKingwood remains undefeated in district playKingwood improved to 3-0 in district play after picking up wins against Sam Rayburn and South Houston last week.The Mustangs defeated Sam Rayburn 4-3 last Tuesday night at Mustangs Stadium. It was the first boys soccer game at home since Hurricane Harvey.Chase Cherrington hit the back of the net for the Mustangs’ first score of the night at the 14 minute mark in the first half. The Mustangs went into the half trailing Sam Rayburn 2-1.Noah Siega scored two goals in the second half and the second goal tied the game with 28 minutes left in the game. Kevin Luck scored the game winning goal with six minutes left to secure the victory. Will Tucker assisted on all four goals for the Mustangs.The Mustangs went on the road last Friday and defeated the Trojans 2-1.Will Sayles scored a goal assisted by Tucker and Noah Siega added a goal off a penalty kick for the Mustangs.The Mustangs will take on Pasadena Memorial at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night at Mustangs Stadium.Humble splits district matchesHumble split its district matches last week.The Wildcats picked up their first district win of the season with a 6-4 win over South Houston.Gerado Martinez and Rito Almaguer both scored two goals apiece.
