CHICAGO (AP) _ Bill Langheim scored a season-high 26 points to lead Central Connecticut to a 95-83 victory over Chicago State on Saturday.

Central had just 10 fastbreak points in the first half but broke loose with 29 in the second half. Chicago led 41-35 at halftime.

Central coach Mark Adams praised his defense.

``The difference once again was our defense,″ he said. ``Our defense in the second half gave us more scoring opportunities, and we took advantage.″
