RTNDA Elects Officers
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (AP) _ Bob Brunner, executive news director of WSAZ-TV in Charleston-Huntington, W. Va., has been picked as president-elect of the Radio-TV News Directors Association.
Brunner, who will take over leadership of the organization in September 1987, defeated Bob Priddy, news director of the Missouri Network of Jefferson City, Mo., in balloting Thursday.
The trade group is made up of more than 2,000 representatives from the electronic journalism field.
Priddy will remain on the board of directors, completing a term as a regional officer.
J. Spencer Kinard, news director of KSL-TV in Salt Lake City, was scheduled to take over the presidency at the conclusion of its annual conference Friday night.
He succeeds John Spain of WBRZ-TV, Baton Rouge, La.
Tyler Cox, from KFBD-AM in Sacramento, Calif., defeated Debbie Parham Bolton of WWSA-WCHY in Savannah, Ga., for director-at-large. David Lampel of Inner City Broadcadting, New York City was re-elected director-at-larg e.
Lou Prato of Medill News Service in Washington, D.C., was re-elected treasurer.
