Norfolk Catholic Boys Win Their Own Invite

While Connor and Tanner Arens of Crofton set the pace at the 2018 Norfolk Catholic cross country invite, Norfolk Catholic’s depth won the day in the team race as the Knights placed four runners in the top 8 to cruise to an easy team win in the boys division of their own invite Friday afternoon at Skyview Lake.

Connor Arens was the individual medalist, touring the course in 17:23.74, followed by Pierce’s Mason Sindelar at 17:36.15. Tanner Arens finished in third place in 17.43.77.

Pierce (45) was runner up in the team race by a single point over Crofton (46).

Rylan Rassmussen was the first Knight to cross the finish line in 17:51, finishing fourth. Dalton Brunsing came in fifth place, Elliot Eisenmenger, seventh, and Wyatt Ash eighth.

In the girls race Boone Central Newman Grove won the day powered by the 1-2 finish of Jordan Stopak (20:40) and Sam Weeder (20:41). Their team score of 22 easily outdistanced Oneill’s 40.
