Expensify Integrates with Global VaTax and Taxback International to Streamline VAT Reclamation
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep 17, 2018--Expensify, the most widely used expense software in the world, announced integrations with two major value-added tax (VAT) reclamation tools today, Global VaTax and Taxback International. The new integrations streamline VAT reclaim for businesses by automatically exporting expenses from Expensify to Global VaTax or Taxback International for seamless VAT analysis, compliance, and recovery.
VAT – the international equivalent of U.S. sales tax – is applied to goods and services in more than 160 countries at rates ranging from 8% to 27%. Certain national tax authorities – including those of the EU, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Australia – allow VAT refunds for businesses not based in their countries. Expensify’s integration partners Global VaTax and Taxback International navigate each country’s complex VAT rules and regulations to ensure businesses receive their maximum VAT refunds.
“Many companies don’t know that VAT reclamation exists, much less how to benefit from it – but with the right tools it can mean some serious money back with minimal effort up front,” says Ryan Schaffer, Director of Strategy and Marketing at Expensify. “Companies using Expensify can already track receipts and manage expenses in more than 160 currencies. Now, it’s just a matter of enabling one of our partner integrations to automatically extract that expense data for easy VAT processing and a maximum refund.”
Expensify is the world’s most user-friendly expense management app. Built for companies of all shapes and sizes, Expensify automates the entire expense reporting process with features such as SmartScan OCR receipt tracking, corporate card reconciliation, and integrations with major accounting softwares.
