ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) _ The Anaheim Angels sent infielder Trent Durrington to Triple-A Edmonton on Tuesday and promoted infielder Keith Luuloa to the major leagues.
Durrington, 24, played in four games this season and was hitless in three at-bats. The Sydney, Australia native started the season in Edmonton, where he batted .216 with four doubles, three home runs and 13 RBIs in 23 games. Durrington played in 43 games last year with the Angels.
Anaheim purchased the contract of Luuloa, 25, who started the season in Edmonton and had a .250 batting average with 11 doubles, two home runs and 13 RBIs. The Honolulu native was picked in the 33rd round of the 1993 amateur draft.
