Sheriff’s office investigates fatal South Carolina shooting
SUMTER, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina’s sheriff’s office is investigating a fatal shooting at an auto store.
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release deputies responding to a call of a shooting Saturday found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The sheriff’s office cited witnesses at the scene who said the shooter drove up and they did not hear an argument. Moments later they heard at least one gunshot and the shooter fled.
Authorities say 34-year-old Sharmine Pack was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy will be scheduled for a later date in Newberry.
