HUNTINGTON — Recovery Point West Virginia will host its annual Rally for Recovery from 4-10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Recovery Point Huntington, 2425 9th Ave.

“Rally for Recovery is our annual event to recognize and give back to the growing recovery community here in West Virginia,” said Matt Boggs, executive director of Recovery Point West Virginia. “Our Huntington facility and grounds will be packed with hundreds of people who are living in the solution today, and it is always a remarkable sight to see.”

Now in its seventh year, Rally for Recovery attracts hundreds of people to the Recovery Point Huntington property to recognize and celebrate those who have initiated and sustained their individual long-term recovery from substance use disorder. There will be food, live music, inflatables for kids, face painting, and a visit from Heroes 4 Higher. In addition, individuals will be sharing their stories of recovery throughout the evening.

Participants from each of Recovery Point’s five programs will be in attendance as well, along with participants in other recovery residences and programs in the area. For those who wish to tour our Huntington facility, staff will be on hand to guide tours throughout the evening.

Rally for Recovery is free and open to the public.
