State police investigator charged in domestic dispute
WILLSBORO, N.Y. (AP) — State police say they’ve arrested one of their own investigators after he assaulted someone at a northern New York home.
Troopers say they responded around 3 a.m. Sunday to a report of a domestic dispute at a home in the Essex County town of Willsboro, on Lake Champlain 120 miles (193 kilometers) north of Albany.
Police say a person at the home reported being assaulted during an argument.
Troopers say they charged 49-year-old Jeffrey Horn, of Saratoga Springs, with assault.
Officials say he’s a 21-year veteran of the state police who works as an investigator assigned to the agency’s headquarters in Albany.
Horn was arraigned in town court and released on his own recognizance. It couldn’t be learned from authorities if he has a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
