Chandler for U.S. Congress
I grew up in Boston and have lived in Pepperell since 1992, and although I’ve always done my civic duty and voted in every election, I have never been so moved to work for a candidate to endorse one publicly. But this one is special. I enthusiastically support and endorse Alexandra Chandler for Congress in the 3rd District. From the first couple of candidate debates, I was impressed by her ability to articulate very detailed policy positions, and her vision for a government that works for everyone, and not just for corporations and the wealthy.
Alexandra’s 13 years of work in the intelligence community as both an analyst and a leader, dealing with Congress and complexities in foreign policy ranging from North Korea to Russia and Iran, coupled with her experience in community health care; and depth of knowledge on so many issues provide the best professional resume for the job.
Being an openly transgender woman who transitioned while working in the Intelligence community, Alexandra is one who has demonstrated courage throughout her life. A married mom of two children, Alexandra is the first openly transgender person to be on a Massachusetts ballot and would also be the first elected to Congress.
I would like to also urge you not to take your constitutional right to vote for granted. Your vote is much too important. For as one wise person said, “If you don’t vote, a few people with lots of money will speak for you.”
