SUPER BACKCOURT

Miami’s starting backcourt of Tim Hardaway and Voshon Lenard combined for 55 points Tuesday night in the Heat’s 91-85 victory at New York. Lenard had 28 points and Hardaway 27. Backup point guard Eric Murdock added 11 points, including a 3-pointer with 35 seconds left.

SCORING WOES

Charlotte matched the lowest-scoring playoff game in NBA history in a 96-64 loss to Tuesday night at Atlanta. The Hawks posted the club’s largest playoff victory since moving to Atlanta in 1968.

STREAKS

Minnesota’s 98-90 victory over Seattle on Tuesday night was its franchise-record seventh straight at the Target Center. The seventh-seeded Timberwolves leads the best-of-5 series 2-1.

SORRY SHOOTING

The Los Angeles Lakers were just 3-for-20 from 3-point range Tuesday night in a 99-94 loss at Portland.
