Norfolk Catholic & Lutheran High Northeast football both in weekly rankings
The Omaha World Herald & Lincoln Journal Star have updated their high school football rankings.
Norfolk Catholic remains first in the Lincoln Journal Star and second in the Omaha World Herald in Class ‘C-2’. The 4-1 Knights routed Crofton last Friday at home 49-9. They have beaten David City Aquinas, St. Paul, BRLD, and Crofton while falling to Class ‘C-1’ top ranked Pierce. Norfolk Catholic returns to action on Friday night when they visit Lincoln Journal Star ninth ranked 2-3 Hartington Cedar Catholic at 7:00 in a game that can be heard on 106 KIX. Lutheran High Northeast has re-entered the rankings in both newspapers in Class ‘D-1’. They are eighth in the Lincoln Journal Star and ninth in the Omaha World Herald. The 3-1 Eagles upset previously ranked Howells/Dodge on the road last Friday night 52-30. LHNE has beaten Winnebago, Omaha Nation, and Howells/Dodge while falling to Wakefield. They are back in action on Friday when they host 2-2 Elkhorn Valley at 3:00.
