Pontiac police: Mother, son were motel victims
PONTIAC, Ill. (AP) — Pontiac police say a woman and man found shot to death in a motel room last week were mother and son.
Police on Friday released the relationship between 57-year-old Jean Ann Corrice and 23-year-old Tyler R. Friant. A third person also was shot and The Pantagraph reports (http://bit.ly/17oPAhh) that victim remains hospitalized in Springfield. The victims were found Aug. 20.
Police say Corrice was living at the Palamar Motel. They say officers went to the motel for a well-being check when Corrice didn’t show up at work. They say officers found the victims along with a firearm.
Authorities haven’t identified the surviving victim.
Pontiac is about 40 miles northeast of Bloomington.
