Deborah A. Meyer, 79, of Bonfield, passed away Sunday (Nov. 11, 2018) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
She was born June 27, 1939, in Kankakee, the daughter of William and Mary Frazier Charbonneau. Deborah married Lyle Meyer on Dec. 6, 1958, at First United Methodist Church of Bonfield.
Deborah was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bonfield. She enjoyed reading, working in her flower gardens and vegetable gardens, baking and shopping. Most of all, Deborah enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, of Bonfield; two daughters, Sherry (Chris) Hammersley, of Bonfield, and Janet (Theresa) Meyer-Marietta, of Essex; three grandchildren, Danielle “Peanut” Hammersley, Ian “Shorty” Meyer-Marietta, and Jack “Jack Jack” Meyer-Marietta; and one brother and two sisters-in-law, William (Sue) Charbonneau, of Dyer, Ind., and Joann Charbonneau, of Hoopeston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Patricia Vitton and Joan Nicklebine; and one brother, Robert Charbonneau.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee. The Rev. Kevin Boesen will officiate. Burial will follow in Bonfield Cemetery in Bonfield.
