Durham Museum offering free admission to veterans

Veterans can gain free access to the Durham Museum in downtown Omaha this weekend in honor of Veteran’s Day.

Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. The Durham, formerly known as the Durham Western Heritage Museum is located at 801 S. 10th St., just south of Omaha’s Old Market.

Current exhibitions include “Thomas D. Mangelsen: A Life in the Wild,” “Fighting for the Good Life: Nebraskan Memories of World War I,” and “Joseph M. Street: A Conscientious Indian Agent,” among others.

Regular admission costs $11 for adults, $8 for seniors and $7 for children 3-12.
