ARLINGTON, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say one person has died in an early morning four-alarm fire at an Arlington condominium complex that sent residents scrambling into the streets with nothing but the clothes they were wearing.

The victim's name was not immediately made public pending notification of family

The blaze at the Brookside Condominium Complex was reported at about 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Fire Chief Robert Jefferson says 36 units were destroyed or damaged as well as several vehicles in the complex's parking lot.

Video from the scene showed flames shooting from the ground floor to the roof of the three-story building.

There was no immediate word on a cause.

Fire departments from several surrounding communities also responded to the blaze.
