Some people have been saying lately that they can’t wait for summer to be over. Farewell to the heat and humidity and hello to sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes.

Others are still saying “Thank Goodness It’s Summer,” because that means there’s still free music Thursday evenings in the courtyard of Greensburg’s Palace Theatre.

And yet, all good things must come to an end. The last of the season’s courtyard concerts took place Aug. 30, with fans digging the swinging sounds of perennial TGIS favorite Neon Swing X-perience.

The music’s not quite over, though. The TGIS Music & Art Finale is set for Sept. 7, with bands scheduled for the Palace stage and the outside loading dock. TGIS favorites and other area up-and-coming acts will perform.

The event also will feature art vendors, food and more; and it’s all part of the larger inaugural Downtown Greensburg Music Fest.
