LISBON, Portugal (AP) _ A fire broke out early Sunday at a hotel in the seaside town of Cascais, killing two people.

There were some 300 people, mostly foreign tourists, at the Hotel Village when the blaze started early in the morning on the sixth floor, private television station S.I.C. reported.

The victims were identified as a 37-year-old male Brazilian guest and a Portuguese security guard.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the blaze.
