Super Rugby: Force beat defending champion Waratahs 25-13
SYDNEY (AP) — The New South Wales Waratahs turned over the ball 18 times and the Western Force took full advantage to score a bonus-point four tries and beat the defending Super Rugby champions 25-13 Sunday.
The Perth, Western Australia-based Force led 8-3 at halftime and dominated the second half. Rob Horne’s second try of the match for the Waratahs in the 77th minute was a consolation effort to pull the home side close after Luke Morahan put the Force ahead 20-8 with a try five minutes earlier.
The match completed the opening round of the 2015 season.
