Ex-Husker Heiman to play hoops for South Dakota

Lincoln Journal StarMay 24, 2019

Former Husker basketball player Brady Heiman is transferring to South Dakota, Coyote head coach Todd Lee announced Thursday.

Heiman, a 6-foot-11 native of Springfield and a Platteview graduate, put his name into the transfer portal earlier in May. He will need to sit out one year according to NCAA rules, but South Dakota plans to file a waiver to allow him to play immediately.

“Brady is a very good student and will fit in great with the type of young men we have in our program,” Lee said in a news release. “He has a high skill level and can be a great rim protector. He is a very good athlete that runs the floor. Brady fits right into what we are looking for as an offensive player and he has the ability to be a great player in the Summit League.”
