2 people shot at Boston police firearms training facility
BOSTON (AP) — Boston police are reporting that two people have been shot in an accident at a city firearms training facility.
Boston police spokeswoman Maisha Miraj says the injuries Thursday afternoon at the Moon Island Boston Police Firing Range are not considered life threatening.
Detective Sgt. John Boyle says two people were injured.
Although the facility is operated by the Boston Police Department, Miraj says the people injured were not Boston officers. Multiple law enforcement agencies use the facility for training. It was not disclosed what agencies the injured represented.
Moon Island is in Boston Harbor and is accessible by a causeway from the city of Quincy.
The incident remains under investigation.
