JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) _ Heidi Van Brocklin scored six of her 11 points in overtime Thursday night to lift Western Washington to a 70-67 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma in the first round of the NAIA Divsion I tournament.

The Vikings (25-6) advance to a Friday semifinal game with Montevallo at 9:45 p.m. CST.

There were three lead changes in the overtime before Van Brocklin’s layup with 1:10 to play put the Vikings up for good at 68-67.

After a shot-clock violation by Northwestern, Eggen hit a jumper for a 70-67 Western Washington lead.

Elliott’s long-range 3-point attempt at the buzzer was long for Northwestern.
