CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. (AP) _ If city officials make a deal, they will soon have a Monty Hall Drive.

The game show host would join Frank Sinatra, Gene Autry, Gerald Ford, Bob Hope and Dinah Shore, whose names have been used for streets in the Coachella Valley, the resort desert area 110 miles east of Los Angeles.

The Cathedral City Planning Commission voted 4-to-1 Wednesday to recommend that two blocks of Van Fleet Avenue downtown be changed to Monty Hall Drive.

But there's still some debate over whether Hall should share the street with M.V. Van Fleet, the city's founder. Some critics say the host of ``Let's Make a Deal'' should have his own street; others say the town shouldn't turn its back on its history.

Hall wasn't available for comment.
