Dance theater to raise funds for injured student

HUNTINGTON— Huntington Dance Theatre will host a fundraiser called “Let’s Dance for Gabrielle” on Friday, Sept. 28 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the studio located at 825 4th Avenue in Huntington. DJ Drew Dehart will provide the music.

The cost of the dance party is $10 and kids of all ages are invited. Activities are available for younger children. Drinks and light refreshments will also be provided. Bracelets and t-shirts in support of Gabrielle’s recovery available for purchase.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the family of Gabrielle Catalogna, a ninth grader at Tri-State STEM+M in South Point, Ohio. Gabrielle suffered a traumatic head injury after falling off of a 4-wheeler on Aug. 18. She was hospitalized for 32 days, and underwent two surgeries. She just returned from Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and will continue her recovery and rehabilitation at home.

Gabrielle is a dance student at Huntington Dance Theatre and her mother, Megan, is the assistant director of the studio.
