Timmy Allen highlights Utah’s 4-man recruiting class
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah has signed four players to a national letter of intent during the early signing period.
Timmy Allen highlights the class as a 6-foot-6 swingman from Red Mountain High School in Arizona. He was given four-stars from 247Sports’s composite rating and the recruiting site’s system named him the top player from Arizona and No. 109 in the country. Allen fielded offers from Arizona State, UCLA and USC. He averaged 19.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steals as a junior.
The 6-9 Riley Battin joins the class with a three-star composite score from Oak Park (Calif.) High School. The power forward averaged 24.7 points, 12.3 reboudns and 3.4 assists last season and received offers from Ohio State, Clemson, Colorado and others.
The Utes also signed 6-3 three-star shooting guard Naseem Gaskin from Bishop O’Dowd (Calif.) and 6-2 junior college transfer Charles Jones Jr. (College of Southern Idaho).
