TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Tucson police say a 29-year-old is man dead following a parking lot shooting that investigators belief to be gang-related.
Sgt. Pete Dugan says preliminary information indicates that Avrum Diaz was with friends ready to go into a lounge Friday when Diaz was shot during an altercation with other people.
Dugan says Diaz and two other people exchanged gunfire, which resulted in Diaz being struck by multiple shots.
Dugan says many people were in the parking lot when the shooting occurred but that the suspects fled.
He says police are following up on several leads but appealing to the public for any information.
