Piano tune-up turns to burglary
MADISON COUNTY − A woman in Rexburg contacted law enforcement after the man she hired to tune her piano decided to go through her medicine cabinets.
On Monday, May 6, at 2 p.m., the woman contacted the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) after she caught the man. The man was Bryant Lee Bird and he was arrested by deputies for felony burglary, felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor petit theft and misdemeanor possession.
Deputy Isaac Payne, of the MCSO, said Bird stole several prescriptions from the home and because they were prescription drugs, it was considered a felony burglary and felony possession.
Payne said Bird’s arraignment at the Madison County Courthouse should be held later today.
