Campbell, Nakano To Sell Campbell Soups in Japan
Undated (AP) _ Campbell Soup Co. said Thursday that it will form a joint venture with Nakano Vinegar Co. Ltd., to market Campbell soups in Japan.
Tokyo-based Campbell Nakano, Inc. will be 51 percent owned by Campbell and 49 percent owned by Nakano. The soups will be imported from the United States.
William K. Douglas, Campbell’s vice president and regional director, will be president of the new distribution company.
The Camden, N.J.-based Campbell currently sells V8, other vegetable juices and ″Godiva″ chocolates in Japan through its subsidiary, Campbell Japan, Inc.
