ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) _ Defenseman Ruslan Salei, the ninth player selected in the NHL Entry Draft in June, signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, the team said Thursday. No further terms were announced.

Salei, 21, who is from Russia, had seven goals and 23 assists in 76 games with Las Vegas of the International Hockey League last season. He played the previous two seasons for his hometown team, Tivali Minsk, in the Russian Elite League.

``We are excited to add Ruslan to our roster in time for training camp,'' Mighty Ducks vice president-general manager Jack Ferreira said in a press release. ``He has a bright NHL future ahead of him and we feel he can be a solid NHL player for us in the years to come.''

Salei, a 6-foot-2, 200-pounder, will report to the Mighty Ducks training camp on Sept. 7 in Anaheim, the team said.
